We employed a dual strategy to meet the client’s needs:
- Interim Search: leveraged our direct network to identify and secure an interim CISO and deliver quick results.
- Permanent Search: analysed the candidate market, providing a comprehensive market map and shortlist of suitable candidates.
Through informed discussions with the hiring manager, we identified the distinct requirements and skills needed for both roles. The Interim CISO was tasked with stabilising the security framework and preparing the business for future growth, while the permanent CISO priorities would be focusing on innovation and the implementation of cutting-edge security practices in order to help the business accelerate and meet its long-term goals.
Within four weeks, we sourced the Interim CISO on a six-month contract, finishing by December 2023 aligning with the timeframe of the permanent CISO proposed starting date. For the permanent role, we curated a list of 10 candidates, 60% of whom came from diverse backgrounds. We also provided the ‘Qurated recommended’ list of top candidates. A four-stage interview process followed suit, leading to the successful acceptance of the permanent hire with a start date in December 2023.
Our targeted approach saved time and resources for the client whilst also ensuring they were equipped with the leadership needed to drive their security practices forward.
